The hair can lose its healthful aspect for many reasons. In order to simplify, we are going to limit it to two causes: internal causes, such as nutritional alterations, genetic manifestations, hormonal irregularities and inflammations in the scalp (read more - link for masculine hair loss and female hair loss), or external causes, that we will approach here in this topic. The hair that we see and touch is basically a wire consisted of queratine protein, formed for lamelars layers (scales) superposed and with a central core (channel). The living part is inside the scalp. The external part, the hair pole, is what we call hair. It can suffer aggressions on daily basis, from the sun, the sea water, the swimming pools chemistry, wind, pollution, air conditioning, variations on air humidity, etc.

But the biggest aggressions are caused by ourselves, when combing the hair, when we pass the hands through the hair with creams or even sweat, also products to better comb it and finally when carrying through chemical handlings, as colorations, relaxations, or all of the above combined. It’s no surprise that the hair suffers with all that, and the longer it is, the slower the growth and thinner it will get, increasing the damage. |

Rinsing: The purpose of rinse creams is committing the hydro-lipid mantle (lubricating layer) that naturally recovers the hair, and that can have been removed for shampoo. This mantle protects and lubricates, keeping the natural flexibility and elasticity. As a rule, the conditioner is for hair use only; it shouldn’t be applied to the scalp. It must be light or moderately acid, for a moderate untangling effect. There are "hydrant" rinses for dry hair, "restructurings" for porous hair and "formularizations matched" for all kinds of hair. The hair masks are for weekly use and, therefore, are more powerful.
However, they need an additional source of heat and humidity so it can enhance the penetration in the hair. We have fast action rinses, excellent for men and practical people and others for scalp with irritations. When rinsing the hair, the ideal is to completely remove the rinse, giving attention to the scalp (residues can cause dandruff). We recommend rinsing with cold water, so that the hydrolipidic mantle is not removed. When a deep hydration is made by a specialist there is a sequence: The cuticle must be opened and a deep cleanness must be made, removing all the remains. Later, come an intense hydration and, finally, the finishing to restore the normal acidity and to close the cuticle. A very hydrant rinse used in a fine hair can leave it heavy, with a dirty aspect. The same happens with a light conditioner, of daily use, that is going to be insufficient in a much damaged hair. Using a good product is not everything; it has got to be adjusted to your kind of hair. A specialist will be able to guide you to choose the right one for you.
